Japan to host technology summits on Physical AI and next-generation mobility
Upcoming technology conferences in Japan will focus on the integration of artificial intelligence in robotics and the automotive sector.
The Information Processing Society of Japan will host a seminar on September 16, 2026, titled ‘Physical AI in Robot Manipulation: Research, Development, and Industrial Application.’ The session will feature experts from Osaka University, the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), and Telexistence to discuss research trends, development status, and industrial implementation of Physical AI.
Additionally, the ReVision Auto & Mobility Next-Generation Automobile Summit 2026 is scheduled for October 20–22, 2026, in Tokyo. This three-day event will explore the evolution of vehicles through Software-Defined Vehicles (SDV), autonomous driving, and user experience (UX). The summit includes speakers from major industry players such as Suzuki, Nissan, Honda, and Mazda, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
