Japan to host various SDGs educational events in September 2026

Various educational events focused on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are scheduled to take place across Japan in September 2026.

In Yokohama, Queen's Square Yokohama will host the SDGs Action 2026 from September 21 to 23. The event features hands-on workshops for children, including making solar-powered fan houses and solar-powered cars. Additional activities include energy-themed demonstrations, such as using hand-crank generators, and a marche focused on eco-friendly and community-conscious initiatives.

In Tokyo, Maxell Aqua Park Shinagawa will hold an “SDGs Week” from September 19 to 27. The program emphasizes SDG 14, “Life Below Water,” through various educational sessions. Highlights include specialized presentations on marine life ecology, dolphin health management, and interactive programs for parents and children to learn about marine conservation and the environment.
