Japan to implement SCS security evaluation system by end of fiscal 2026
The SCS Evaluation System, designed to bolster security standards across entire supply chains, is scheduled to begin operations at the end of fiscal year 2026. Based on the NIST CSF 2.0 global standard, the system establishes criteria for both contractors and clients. A key feature is the elevation of “supplier management” to a major independent category, placing stricter requirements on how companies manage their subcontractors and suppliers.
To address these evolving requirements, Cyber Solutions Inc. has launched “SCS R@nge,” a practical cyber exercise service available from November 16. This cloud-based service provides isolated virtual environments for both offensive and defensive training. Utilizing an engine provided through an exclusive OEM agreement with Taiwan-based Shield eXtreme, the service offers over 150 scenarios ranging from beginner to high-difficulty levels. The platform allows administrators to track progress via dashboards to assist in talent development and recruitment evaluations.
