Japan travel services expand support for families with infants
The Japanese travel industry is seeing an expansion in services tailored to families traveling with infants, a segment of universal tourism. A survey by Babyrenta revealed that approximately 60% of families travel with children under the age of two. Key needs identified by travelers include rental items such as bouncers, baby chairs, cribs, and baby baths.
In response to this demand, Rakuten Travel has partnered with the family photo-sharing app Mitene to launch a dedicated special page. The platform features 223 selected accommodations in Japan that have received high ratings (4.5 or higher) from users traveling with children. The service includes specialized search filters for amenities like baby and kids' supplies, child-friendly buffets, and facilities that allow for all-day indoor play.
