Typhoon Dujuan has caused significant destruction across Japan, particularly in the Kanto region near Tokyo. The storm resulted in at least five deaths and left six people missing following severe landslides and flooding in Chiba, Kanagawa, and Miyazaki prefectures.

Extreme weather conditions were recorded, including wind gusts reaching up to 194 km/h. Oshima island experienced historic rainfall, with 832 mm recorded over a 48-hour period, more than double the average for September. The storm also caused widespread power outages, affecting over 45,000 households in Chiba, and damaged at least 468 homes.

Transportation was heavily disrupted, with nearly 500 flights cancelled at Haneda and Narita airports, alongside various railway suspensions. Authorities issued evacuation orders for approximately 1.6 to 1.9 million people across several prefectures, including Saitama, Ibaraki, Chiba, Tokyo, Shizuoka, and Kanagawa, to mitigate the risk of further landslides and flooding.
