Japan weather forecast predicts showers and humidity

Weather conditions across Japan are expected to remain unstable following the Obon holiday period. From Kyushu to Kanto, cloudy skies and sudden showers are anticipated due to moist air flowing from the south. Residents are advised to carry umbrellas suitable for both sun and rain.

In Chiba Prefecture, where record-breaking heavy rains recently occurred, continued showers are expected. Although the intensity of the rain may not increase significantly, authorities warn of potential landslides due to loosened ground.

While extreme heat days may be fewer due to cloud cover, high humidity will persist. Temperatures in many regions are expected to reach summer levels, with Kumamoto reaching 32°C and parts of inland Kanto potentially exceeding 35°C later in the week. Heatstroke prevention remains a priority.
