Japan weather: Unseasonable warmth and Typhoon 30 monitoring

Japan is experiencing significant temperature fluctuations and unseasonably warm autumn weather. In Tokyo, the city recorded nine consecutive summer days in October, setting a new record for the longest streak. While mornings and evenings are becoming cool, daytime temperatures in many regions are expected to remain higher than average, with some areas in western Japan potentially reaching summer-like heat.

The weekend is forecast to be mostly sunny across much of the country due to a migratory high-pressure system, making it suitable for outdoor activities. However, moisture brought by winds around the high-pressure system may cause rain in Kyushu and Shikoku.

Meteorologists are also monitoring Typhoon 30, which formed on October 15. While it is not expected to directly impact Japan this weekend, its path remains uncertain. Depending on its trajectory, it could approach the main island of Honshu by the middle of next week, prompting warnings to stay updated on the latest weather information.
