Japan wins double gold at Skateboarding World Championships

Japanese athletes achieved a double victory in the men's and women's street skateboarding categories at the World Championships. The event serves as a key qualifier for the Los Angeles Olympics.

Sixteen-year-old Ginn Gin'yu Onodera secured the men's title with a comeback performance, scoring 92.12 in the best trick segment after previously facing challenges including the loss of his equipment during travel. Nineteen-year-old Yumi Oda, the 2023 champion, successfully defended her dominance to win the women's category.
