Japanese actor Ryohei Miyazaki's affair scandal hits his restaurant ventures

Actor Ryohei Miyazaki, married to Shuri Miyazaki, has been exposed in an extramarital affair with married actress Hanano Maria. Weekly Shūkan Bunshun published chat logs from July 8, 9 and 11 showing the pair meeting at Miyazaki's Tokyo apartment and exchanging messages that mirror the plot of their musical “Love’s Landing.” The revelation sparked public criticism, with Miyazaki and Maria acknowledging the meetings but claiming they were for professional understanding.

Miyazaki, who left the boy band BE:FIRST and became a company president, opened a pasta shop “Oyaji no Ankake Pasta” in Kichijoji with his father, which attracted long lines at launch but later saw the queue disappear and the venue become nearly empty. He also launched a kappō restaurant “Oyaji no Kappō” in Shinjuku, which received few online reviews and was placed on indefinite, unpaid suspension after the owner announced health‑related closure, cancelling all reservations. The scandal has further strained his family life, with his mother‑in‑law, singer Ito Ran, expressing concern, and criticism over Miyazaki taking his four‑month‑old son out late at night.
