Japanese and South Korean students hold cultural exchange event
Students from Yachiyo Shoin Gakuen and Pigeon Girls' Middle School from South Korea participated in an international exchange program in Japan. The event featured various activities designed to foster cross-cultural communication and friendship between the two groups.
During the exchange, students were paired as buddies to share lunch and participate in school tours. The program included hands-on experiences with traditional Japanese culture, such as tea ceremony, calligraphy, and music lessons. The visiting Korean students also presented on Korean culture and performed K-pop dances.
In preparation for upcoming sister school visits and hosting duties, students and parents also attended briefing sessions. These sessions included lectures on Korean language and culture provided by students from Kanda University of International Studies to ensure a meaningful exchange during future home stays and school visits.
