Japanese animation events announced for Nijigen no Mori and ANIAFF

The anime park Nijigen no Mori will host a pop-up store at the Fukuyama Anime 9 event in Hiroshima Prefecture on October 10 and 11, 2026. The store will feature original merchandise from various attractions, including Crayon Shin-chan Adventure Park, Naruto & Boruto Shinobi Village, Godzilla Counterattack Operation, and Dragon Quest Island. Additionally, exclusive goods and mystery quest kits related to the Attack on Titan collaboration will be available.

Separately, the second Aichi-Nagoya International Animation Film Festival (ANIAFF) is scheduled to take place from November 13 to 18. The festival’s Director Focus segment will feature a retrospective of the late Osamu Dezaki, a pioneering director known for his unique visual style in works such as Ashita no Joe 2, Rose of Versailles, and Golgo 13. The program includes ten selected works, ranging from feature films to television series, aiming to highlight his significant influence on the history of Japanese animation.
