Japanese artists celebrate career milestones with new releases and reunions

Enka singer Sumi Tagawa is celebrating her 35th debut anniversary. Following a fan vote among 97 songs, her 1998 single ‘Aishū Minato’ was selected as the top track. Her upcoming best-of album, titled ‘Anata to Tomoni’, will be released on November 18 and will feature 16 songs based on the voting results. The album will also include the names of participating fans in the packaging.

Separately, former SKE48 5th-generation members Nao Furuhata and Yuna Egom are reuniting for a special live performance titled ‘Yuna 15th Anniversary LIVE ~Kimi to Yumemita Ano Hibi wo~’. The event marks 15 years since their debut in 2011. Although the two have pursued different paths as an actor and a solo idol respectively, they will perform together on November 26.
