Nissan to launch new Skyline by 2028; Toyota adds Hilux stability accessory
Nissan announced that the next‑generation Skyline sedan will be unveiled by early 2028. The model will sit on a new platform ready for multiple levels of electrification, allowing hybrid, e‑Power or fully electric versions. Expected features include an upgraded digital instrument panel, advanced driver‑assist systems and a design that retains the Skyline’s sporty proportions while incorporating modern styling cues.
Toyota introduced an under‑body accessory for the previous‑generation Hilux, called the “Shibetsu Fin Undercover.” The aluminum piece with small aerodynamic fins is designed to reduce low‑frequency chassis vibrations, improving stability in corners, straight‑line driving and side‑wind conditions. It fits Hilux units built between August 2017‑August 2022 and July 2023‑October 2024 and is priced around ¥75,900 (approximately R$2,400) in Japan.
