Japanese baseball players show progress in farm league recovery

Japanese professional baseball players Ryota Takeuchi and Makoto Kadowaki are showing signs of recovery and progress in the farm leagues.

Lotte Marines pitcher Ryota Takeuchi has successfully returned to action following Tommy John surgery and elbow cleaning procedures. In his recent appearances in the minor leagues, including a game against DeNA, he has maintained a scoreless streak. Takeuchi noted that while he previously reached speeds of 158 km/h before his surgery, he is focused on utilizing his fastball and a reliable cutter to regain his form.

Yomiuri Giants infielder Makoto Kadowaki also demonstrated progress following a period of absence due to lower body conditioning issues. Playing in a farm league game against Orix, Kadowaki recorded three RBIs, including a two-run triple. He attributed his improved performance to diligent training aimed at improving his swing mechanics and physical strength to prepare for a return to the first team.
