Japanese cable providers announce scheduled service interruptions

Two Japanese cable providers have announced scheduled service interruptions due to infrastructure maintenance and accident recovery works.

Joetsu Cable Vision (JCV) will perform trunk cable replacement work on September 11, 2026, between 1:00 AM and 5:00 AM. The maintenance will affect broadcasting, internet, and Hikari phone services for residents in specific areas of Sanwa Ward, including Inokuchi, Ukishima, and Imaho.

BTV Co., Ltd. has scheduled transmission equipment renovation work for September 9, 2026, from 1:00 AM to 5:00 AM. This will result in the suspension of television, internet, and fixed-line telephone services for households in specific sections of Obara-cho and Uomi-cho in Kagoshima City.
