Japanese celebrities discuss personal finances and childbirth experiences

During a collaborative video project hosted by former Morning Musume member Miki Fujimoto, several Japanese personalities shared personal anecdotes regarding finances and parenting.

Writer Hiroaki Ototake revealed that while his bestseller ‘No Braindead’ previously generated significant royalty income through seasonal reprints, those earnings ceased approximately ten years ago. He noted that he currently relies on savings to fund his political activities.

In a separate segment of the program, actress Rosa Kato discussed her experiences giving birth in Dijon, France. Kato described the challenges of her first pregnancy, which included a weight gain of over 20 kilograms due to a less frequent prenatal checkup schedule compared to Japan. She also noted that while medical costs including anesthesia were free, the process of managing pain and breastfeeding was emotionally and physically taxing.
