Japanese companies advance nature-positive and agritech initiatives

Japanese companies are advancing initiatives focused on biodiversity and environmental conservation through international platforms and technological integration.

Sekisui House participated as a platinum partner in the Global Nature Positive Summit 2026 held in Kumamoto. The company showcased its ‘Five Trees’ project, which has resulted in the planting of 21.43 million trees over 25 years. Sekisui House introduced its ‘Five Trees Compass’ tool, designed to visualize and quantify the impact of urban biodiversity. The company also signed the ‘Kumamoto Declaration’ to support the realization of a nature-positive future.

AGBIOTECH presented at the ‘Midori GX Overseas Expansion Consortium’ general meeting, a platform led by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries to promote Japan's environmental agricultural technologies abroad. The company highlighted its ‘BioApp,’ which integrates with government systems to provide instant environmental impact labeling for farmers. Additionally, AGBIOTECH is expanding its operations to India, focusing on water management in rice cultivation and the creation of international carbon credits to support small-scale farmers and sustainable agriculture.
