Japanese companies announce character-themed timepieces

Several Japanese companies have announced new character-themed timepieces. Rhythm Co., Ltd. will release a Kirby-themed digital alarm clock in early September 2026. The product features an original figure of Kirby in a sleep state and includes design elements like Waddle Dee appearing on the LCD screen to celebrate the franchise's upcoming 35th anniversary.

Separately, Ueni Trading Co., Ltd. has announced a pre-order period starting August 31, 2026, for a mechanical watch inspired by the mobile game Blue Archive. The watch, themed after characters Hikari and Nozomi, features a Japanese automatic movement and can be used as both a wristwatch and a pocket watch via a specialized attachment.
