Japanese companies host workplace experience events for employees' children

Several Japanese companies held corporate events in August 2026 designed to introduce employees' children to their parents' workplaces.

JFE Systems hosted its third Family Day, inviting 24 families to its headquarters. The program included office tours, a stamp rally, and a broadcasting studio experience. Participants engaged in business card exchanges with company executives.

Seed Co., Ltd. conducted its fourth “Work Observation Day” at its Bunkyo, Tokyo headquarters. Children participated in tasks such as sending emails, creating documents, and observing remote meetings. Older children acted as “work reporters,” interviewing staff to create newspaper articles, while younger children engaged in office scavenger hunts.

APAMAN Co., Ltd. held a “Children's Work Observation Day” for eight children ranging from age three to high school. Participants visited the company headquarters and the Apaman Shop Yaesu store. Activities included creating original business cards, interviewing employees, and participating in workshops to learn about floor plans and customer service simulations.
