Japanese companies integrate AI agents into workforce and services
Japanese companies are increasingly integrating AI agents into organizational structures and service models to drive efficiency and transformation.
NEC has established a ‘Corporate AI Workforce Department’ consisting of 36 AI employees, including AI managers and an AI board with roles such as CFO and CHRO. The company treats these agents as actual employees, implementing onboarding, performance evaluations, and even stress checks to optimize their working environment.
In the consulting sector, Hitachi Consulting has begun building a knowledge base using LayerX’s ‘Ai Workforce’ platform. This initiative aims to transform individual expertise into organizational knowledge, allowing AI and consultants to collaboratively manage research, analysis, and proposal creation.
Additionally, PeopleX is expanding its AI-driven human resources services. The company has released a textbook on AI interviewing and rebranded its recruitment service to ‘PeopleX AI Recruitment,’ which utilizes AI for career proposals and mock interviews to assist job seekers.
