Japanese companies launch new cooling gear to combat heatstroke

Japanese companies are launching new products to combat heatstroke and rising summer temperatures.

UNBY Co., Ltd. has released two new items under its AS2OV brand: the ‘COOL PONCHO’, which uses evaporative cooling to reduce perceived temperature by approximately 15°C, and the ‘TOWEL PONCHO’, a large microfiber garment designed for moisture absorption and quick drying during outdoor activities or sauna use.

Meanwhile, Camping Car Co., Ltd., through its ‘Outdoor 119’ e-commerce site, is offering discounted bulk sets of water-cooled vests aimed at corporate clients. These vests utilize a pump system to circulate ice water, providing rapid cooling within 30 seconds of activation. The initiative is designed to support construction, security, and logistics companies in managing heat risks during prolonged periods of high temperatures.
