Ebara Corporation reports record results on semiconductor equipment demand

Ebara Corporation has reported record-high results for its second quarter of the fiscal year ending December 2026. The company saw unprecedented levels in orders, net sales, and operating income.

Growth was primarily driven by the precision and electronics segment, fueled by strong demand for semiconductor Chemical Mechanical Planarization (CMP) equipment. This demand was particularly concentrated in Taiwan and South Korea, alongside other Asian markets.

Due to this robust order volume, Ebara has upwardly revised its full-year forecasts. The company expects total orders to reach 1.245 trillion yen, an increase of 175 billion yen over the initial plan. Net sales are projected to rise to 1.053 trillion yen. While the energy segment experienced some declines, the strength in the semiconductor-related sectors has offset these losses.
