Japanese confectionery companies launch new seasonal chocolate products

Major Japanese confectionery companies are launching new chocolate and ice cream products for the autumn and winter seasons.

Meito is expanding its core brands, including Alphabet Chocolate and Puku Puku Tai, with new flavors and larger packaging options. New offerings include Alphabet Chocolate Sakutto Crepe, Adult Cafe Latte Chocolate, and various assortment packs. The company is also leveraging popular character collaborations, such as Chiikawa, for its Chibi Saku chocolate line. These moves aim to expand the consumer base and capitalize on recent growth in the chocolate category.

Morinaga & Co., Ltd. is reintroducing its White Itachoco Ice as a seasonal staple following high consumer demand. The product features white chocolate with cookie crunch and vanilla ice cream. To support the nationwide launch, the company is conducting promotional campaigns on social media and through receipt-based entries for prizes.
