Japanese creator Yu Hachi's three works to debut as short anime in October 2026

SNS creator 遊ハち (Yu Hachi) announced on July 31 that his three popular series – でかいはち, 店番のスピス and 嗚呼、たぬきはもうだめです – will be adapted into a short‑anime omnibus titled ゆうさんち！from 遊ハち. The series will begin broadcasting in October 2026 on Fuji Television’s Nonstop! block and Kantele’s 旬感LIVE とれたてっ! programming.

The announcement was accompanied by teaser visuals and a promotional video. An official website and X/TikTok accounts for the anime were also launched. In conjunction with the anime launch, KADOKAWA will release the first and second volumes of でかいはち on August 3, 2026 (designated “はちさんの日”). 遊ハち, who has around 490,000 followers and has been nominated twice for the Next Manga Award’s web comic category, is known for his “slightly surreal, cute” style and past collaborations with brands such as Sanrio, Keio Railway and Shimamura.
