Japanese cultural festivals held at Sugiyama Shrine and Tottori Toshogu

Local cultural festivals are taking place in Japan, including the Chigasaki Sugiyama Shrine Reitaisai in Yokohama. The festivities included a ‘Yoino-miya’ event featuring musical floats and food stalls, followed by a portable shrine procession (Mikoshi Togyo) involving large, child, and medium-sized shrines traveling from the shrine to Center Minami Station.

In Tottori City, the 33rd Rakuzarakuichi festival is scheduled for October 17 and 18 at Tottori Toshogu. The two-day event features a pre-festival on the 17th with music and DJ performances, and a main festival on the 18th. Activities include music stages, food stalls, flea markets, workshops, and a tree-climbing experience for children.
