Japanese dining updates: Shokudo Osaka expands and Jinbocho Oodori enhances menu
Several dining establishments in Japan are announcing new developments. In Fujisawa, Kanagawa Prefecture, the popular Setagaya-based late-night eatery ‘Shokudo Osaka’ is expanding with the opening of ‘Shokudo Osaka Shonan Kitchen’ in Tsujido. Scheduled for a pre-opening on October 1 and a grand opening on October 2, the new location aims to serve the local community with breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, including bento boxes, side dishes, rice balls, and bread.
In Tokyo, the soup curry restaurant ‘Jinbocho Oodori Kanda Surugadai’ is enhancing its menu. Starting October 1, the establishment will allow customers to add any of its 11 available toppings to its ‘Kuroge Wagyu 2-kind No-water Cheese Keema Curry’. This specific dish achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first to simultaneously win both the Grand Prix and the Kanda Curry Meister Award at the Kanda Curry Grand Prix 2025.
