Japanese drama 'Daichiseki' Season 2 episode 3 airs with guest stars, actor Mitsuishi discusses work

The second season of the Japanese police drama 大追跡～警視庁SSBC強行犯係～ aired its third episode on 5 August 2026. The episode follows the discovery of a homeless man’s body, a concrete weapon, and a rapid spread of unverified information on social media, leading to a chaotic “net identification team” frenzy that targets the first responder, 小木星矢, and even the squad leader’s brother.

In a separate interview, veteran actor Ken Mitsuishi, who plays squad chief 葛原茂, reflected on his approach to work, saying “仕事は栄養ドリンクみたいなもの” (work is like a nutritional drink). He also spoke about his long‑standing friendship with Ken Kunikida, his varied hobbies—including golf, illustration and design—and how he balances them with his acting career.

The episode also features guest performances by Kitau, 望月歩 and other notable actors, adding depth to the series’ exploration of modern media pressures.
