Japanese drama releases scheduled for Prime Video in September

New Japanese drama productions are set for release on Prime Video this September.

Shunsuke Michieda will star in ‘M.I.S.S.I.O.N. Kageki na Sennyu Sousakan’, a suspense comedy that blends undercover investigation with musical elements. The story follows an elite detective who infiltrates an arts university and finds himself participating in a musical production. The series is scheduled for exclusive streaming starting September 14.

Additionally, a new spin-off of the ‘Odoru Daisousasen’ franchise, titled ‘Odoru Daisousasen Sosau Shiryo Kanri Shitsu: Aoshima Shunsaku, Kuhaku no 13-nen’, will begin streaming on September 4. This three-episode series explores the undocumented thirteen-year period in the life of protagonist Shunsaku Aoshima following the 2012 film. The plot centers on a technical specialist at the Metropolitan Police Department's investigation data management center who uses archived materials to piece together Aoshima's activities.
