Japanese drama “VIVANT” to re‑air first season ahead of season 2 launch

TBS will rebroadcast the first season of the Sunday night drama VIVANT over ten consecutive nights, from 27 June to 6 July, on Kanto‑local channels. The series, starring Masato Sakai and produced by Fukuzawa Katsu, originally aired in 2023 and gained a strong fan following. The final episode of the encore will feature an exclusive cut of the original 2023 last‑scene that is not available on streaming services. The re‑airing is scheduled to lead into the second season, which starts on 26 July.

The special broadcast responds to viewer demand for a revisit of the first season before the new installment begins, and includes the same high‑quality production values and the ensemble cast that made the original run a cultural talking point.
