Japanese eateries debut limited-time cold noodle dishes for summer
Ramen chain Dootonbori Kamiza is rolling out a limited‑time cold ramen called “澄み切りお出汁の冷たいおいしいラーメン,” featuring ice‑chilled broth made from its signature golden soup, kelp, dried clams and chicken umami. The dish, priced between ¥860 and ¥1,260, will be sold at all locations (except some new outlets) from July 1 until September 17.
In Tokyo’s Nerima district, the shop JigeMon Chanpon (operating within a daytime izakaya) offers a “cold chanpon” that mimics cold Chinese noodles, using thick, firm noodles, chilled broth and typical toppings such as wood ear mushrooms and sesame. Priced at ¥750, it is available until September 30 as a summer‑only menu item.
