Japanese eateries roll out summer half-price promotions

Miyako Ramen Itami, a ramen shop in Itami City, Hyogo Prefecture, will run a "karaage half-price festival" from August 1 to August 16. Customers ordering noodles can get four pieces of fried chicken for ¥225 (regular ¥450) or eight pieces for ¥400 (regular ¥800). The discount applies only to in‑store dining and excludes family sets and the two‑piece option.

Marugame Seimen will hold its "Kamaage Udon Day" on August 1 and September 1, offering its signature kamaage udon and cold bukkake udon at half price. Prices drop from ¥770 to ¥380 for the premium kamaage udon and similar reductions for other sizes. The promotion does not cover take‑out orders or the children’s set.
