Japanese entertainers Maki Goto and Nissy mark milestone birthdays
Japanese entertainers Maki Goto and Nissy have both marked significant age milestones this month.
Maki Goto, who recently turned 41, spoke at a promotional event for wasabi components. She discussed her lifelong love for wasabi and shared reflections on aging, noting that she has become more conscious of her health and 'inner care' as she feels the effects of fatigue more prominently than during her early career.
Nissy (Takahiro Nishijima) celebrated his 40th birthday on September 30. Following a scheduled surgery in February 2026, he has focused on rehabilitation and training. Demonstrating his versatility as an entertainer, he recently held the 'Nissy Entertainment Variety Show' at Pia Arena MM. Because he is currently unable to sing, the show pivoted to non-vocal entertainment, including magic shows, variety segments, and improvisational collaborations, showcasing his ability to produce comprehensive stage productions beyond traditional singing and dancing.
