Japanese entertainment sector announces various pop culture events and digital expansions

Various Japanese entertainment and pop culture entities have announced upcoming events and digital expansions.

GENDA GiGO Entertainment will host a QuizKnock 10th Anniversary collaboration cafe at GiGO locations starting September 12, 2026. The event will feature original themed food, drinks, and merchandise. Additionally, GiGO's Caratt will hold a limited-time photo event, ‘Little on Tour,’ at KAWAII MONSTER LAND in Harajuku from September 14 to September 18, 2026, offering specialized hair, makeup, and costume experiences for children.

In the manga industry, Nihon Bungeisha and Kakao Piccoma are launching a simultaneous serialization partnership for ‘Weekly Manga Goraku’ on the Piccoma digital platform, beginning August 21, 2026. This initiative aims to bring the magazine's diverse lineup of action, drama, and gourmet titles to a digital audience.

Other notable announcements include a commemorative fair for the manga ‘The Clock User’ at participating bookstores and the release of a 1/7 scale figure of VTuber Toru Koshimizu from Nijisanji by F:NEX.
