Various Japanese businesses have announced the commencement of reservations for their 2026 Christmas cake collections, featuring seasonal ingredients such as strawberries and specialty eggs.

Meiji Kinenkan has opened bookings for its collection, which includes classic strawberry decoration cakes, baked cheesecake, and chocolate cakes, alongside eight varieties of individual piece cakes. Reservations run through December 17.

In Sapporo, the Sapporo Tokyu REI Hotel is offering two types of cakes, Gateau Fraise and Gateau Fraise Chocolat, made with Hokkaido strawberries and cream. This year marks a special general sale as the hotel is scheduled to cease operations at the end of August next year.
