Japanese food chains launch seasonal Tsukimi menus

Major Japanese food chains have launched their seasonal “Tsukimi” (moon-viewing) menus, featuring egg-centric dishes to celebrate the autumn season.

Mcdonald's Japan is celebrating the 35th anniversary of its Tsukimi Burger with a lineup of eight items, including the new “Aburi Gyu Sukiyaki-style Tsukimi” and a promotional campaign offering a giant burger-shaped cushion. KFC has also released a high-volume “Triple Tsukimi Japanese-style Cutlet Burger” featuring three layers of egg-style omelets.

Other participating chains include Hokka Hokka Tei, which is offering “Tsukimi Tendon” with egg tempura alongside seasonal matsutake mushroom dishes, and Sukiya, which has introduced “Tsukimi Sukiyaki Beef Bowls” in both standard and spicy varieties. These seasonal offerings are available at various locations across Japan for a limited time.
