Japanese film ‘Ano Hoshi ga Furu Oka de’ surpasses 1 million admissions
The film ‘Ano Hoshi ga Furu Oka de, Kimi to Mata Deaitai.’, the sequel and conclusion to the bestselling novel series by Natsue Shiomi, has surpassed 1 million admissions within 14 days of its release. As of August 24, the film has earned over 1.5 billion yen in box office revenue during its first 18 days.
To celebrate this milestone, a series of stage greetings were held across four cities, including Osaka, Namba, Shinjuku, and Marunouchi. Cast members Haruka Fukuhara and Kanata Hosoda, along with original author Natsue Shiomi, participated in the events. Fukuhara expressed her relief and joy that the story is reaching many people, while Hosoda noted the difficulty of creating content that appeals to a wide range of generations.
