Japan's Eole launches ¥10 M Hyperliquid token purchase, targeting ¥100 M total
Tokyo‑listed Eole announced on July 28 that it bought 1,078.25 Hyperliquid (HYPE) tokens for ¥10,084,663, an average price of ¥9,352 per token. The initial outlay of roughly ¥10 million is the first tranche of a planned ¥100 million treasury allocation that will be executed in multiple tranches through August 2026, subject to market conditions and liquidity.
Eole frames the acquisition as strategic, linking it to its Neo Crypto Bank initiative—a next‑generation on‑chain financial‑infrastructure project that aims to integrate wallets, payments, lending and DeFi services. The company highlights the token’s compatibility with autonomous AI‑driven trading (“agentic commerce”) and notes that Hyperliquid operates a finance‑specific layer‑1 blockchain capable of processing thousands of transactions per second with sub‑100 ms latency. Eole claims this is the first public HYPE purchase by a domestic listed company in Japan, positioning the token as a core asset for its future on‑chain finance and Web3 operations.
