Japanese firms launch identity verification and receive DX certification

System Gear Co., Ltd., in collaboration with Kanaden Co., Ltd. and AB Circle Japan Co., Ltd., has announced the launch of a new identity verification solution for financial institutions. Scheduled for release on August 19, 2026, the solution is designed to comply with the upcoming amendments to the Act on Prevention of Transfer of Criminal Proceeds, set to take effect in April 2027.

The system utilizes the CIR715A IC chip-compatible identity verification reader alongside a dedicated application. It allows for the reading of information from My Number cards, driver's licenses, and residence cards. The mobile-friendly design enables staff to perform identity verification during off-site visits, supporting both branch and field operations.

Separately, Systems Nakashima Co., Ltd. has been officially recognized as a “DX Certified Business” by Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. The certification, valid from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2028, acknowledges the company's readiness to implement digital transformation through its “AI in all businesses” strategy, which includes AI-driven development and digital talent training.
