Japanese firms launch tools to optimize business visibility in AI search
Japanese companies are launching new services to address the rise of AI-driven search and the growing need for AI Search Optimization (LLMO/GEO/AEO).
TechSuite Inc. conducted a study on how major AI platforms, including ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, and Microsoft Copilot, respond to queries regarding corporate insurance agencies in Japan. The research found that no single company dominates AI responses; the most frequently mentioned agency appeared in only 22.2% of cases. The study also noted that AI answers vary significantly based on the user's persona and that over 60% of AI citations are sourced from the companies' own official websites.
In a related development, Riders Publicity Inc. has developed two new systems, the ‘LLMO Console Engine’ and ‘AI Visibility Dashboard.’ These tools are designed to help businesses monitor how they are recognized and cited by generative AI engines. The systems aim to combat issues such as brand misinformation (hallucinations) and low visibility by analyzing E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness) compliance and providing structured data (JSON-LD) to ensure websites are machine-readable for AI crawlers.
