Japanese firms Persol Cross Technology and Askur advance AI-driven business transformation

Persol Cross Technology, the IT core of the Persol Group, is expanding AI use beyond efficiency gains to create new services and improve customer experience. The Group Solution Division, led by Sawada, is developing AI tools such as a virtual role‑play partner for sales staff, automated proposal‑document generation, and AI‑driven matching of job seekers with openings. The division also aims to grow a workforce of AI‑native engineers who can both build and apply generative AI models across the group’s businesses.

Separately, e‑commerce and logistics company Askur has appointed Gaku Narimatsu as its new president and CEO. Narimatsu, who has risen through the company since 2007, will steer Askur’s “Beyond Retail” strategy, leveraging its customer base, logistics capabilities and data assets to launch AI‑powered services. The firm’s 2050 vision emphasizes creating a society where individuals can continuously realize their aspirations, combining economic and social value.

Both companies see AI as a central pillar for future growth, aiming to transform operations, enhance decision‑making and expand market opportunities in Japan’s rapidly evolving business landscape.
