Japanese food brands expand with new locations in US, Taiwan, and Japan
Several Japanese-inspired food brands are expanding their physical presence. In the United States, Marugame Seimen opened its 23rd U.S. location in Rowland Ca on August 7, 2026. The new branch features a customized 'Malatang Udon' to appeal to the local Chinese community and plans to expand further into San Diego and San Francisco later this year, with long-term goals of reaching the Eastern and Southern U.S.
In Taiwan, the Tokyo-based brand BREAD, ESPRESSO & has launched its first local concept store, 'Yongkang Sente.' Located in a historic Japanese-style building in Taipei, the shop aims to blend Japanese tea culture with local Taiwanese ingredients through a specialized brunch and dessert menu.
Additionally, in Japan, a new Marugame Ramen branch in the Amagasaka Sakabe area is set to open on August 11, 2026, offering promotional rewards for new app members.
