Japanese food chains Matsunoya and Unatoto announce new menu items

Several Japanese food chains are introducing new seasonal menu items in late October 2026.

Unatoto, an eel bowl chain, will launch ‘Special Sauce Chicken Wings’ at select locations starting October 27. The wings, which use the chain’s signature eel sauce, will be available in four flavors: pepper, sansho, shichimi, and BBQ. Individual wings are priced at 100 yen, with a six-piece set available for 500 yen.

Tonkatsu chain Matsunoya is set to release various ‘Menchi Katsu’ (minced meat cutlet) sets starting October 28. The lineup includes Demi-glace Menchi Katsu, Uma-toma (savory tomato) Menchi Katsu, and versions featuring cheese. Prices for these sets range from 990 to 1,290 yen.
