Japanese food service updates: New ramen shop and Honnoriya renewal

Several food service updates have been announced in Japan. Takemura Ken, representative of X-PECT, has opened a new ramen shop, Takemura Ken, at Gakugei-daigaku Station. The establishment, which follows the previous operation Chuka Soba Takaban, offers soy sauce and miso ramen and features a complimentary rice policy.

Additionally, JR East Cross Station Foods Company announced that its rice ball specialty shop, Honnoriya, will undergo a renewal at its Ecute Omiya location. The renovated store is scheduled to reopen on October 21, 2026. To celebrate the reopening, the company is conducting a promotional campaign on its official X account offering coupons for rice balls.
