Japanese footballers Matsuzawa and Miyashiro score standout goals in Europe

Japanese footballers Kaito Matsuzawa and Taisei Miyashiro have delivered standout performances in their respective European leagues.

Playing for Sint-Truiden in the Belgian Pro League, 25-year-old midfielder Kaito Matsuzawa scored immediately after coming on as a substitute during a 4-1 victory against Royal Antwerp. Matsuzawa converted a one-on-one chance against goalkeeper Taishi Brandon Nozawa, drawing attention for his goal celebration which fans noted resembled his time with V-Varen Nagasaki.

In Spain, Taisei Miyashiro of UD Las Palmas scored a remarkable solo goal during a 2-5 loss to Girona in the Segunda División. Miyashiro drove the ball approximately 60 meters on a counter-attack before finishing in the bottom right corner. This marks his second consecutive game with a goal, bringing his season tally to two goals and two assists in three matches.
