PSG joins race for Japan goalkeeper Zion Suzuki

Paris Saint‑Germain have entered the summer transfer chase for 23‑year‑old Japanese international goalkeeper Zion Suzuki, who currently plays for Serie A side Parma. Italian media reported that PSG have initiated negotiations and described the talks as progressing quickly, with a potential fee of €30‑35 million. Suzuki, who impressed at the 2026 World Cup, is under contract with Parma until 2029 and the club is prepared to sell.

Other clubs are also monitoring the Japanese keeper. English Premier League sides Aston Villa, Leeds United and Newcastle United have all expressed interest, with Newcastle reportedly offering a £17 million package and having held recent discussions with Suzuki’s representatives.
