Japanese golfers Katsu and Hara contend at Portland Classic
Japanese golfers Minami Katsu and Erika Hara are both contending at the third day of The Standard Portland Classic held at Columbia Edgewater Country Club in Oregon.
Minami Katsu maintained a strong performance despite a difficult hole at the 17th. After hitting her drive into a penalty area, she managed a remarkable par save from 130 yards out. Katsu has demonstrated significant consistency, recording 45 consecutive holes without a bogey. She enters the final day in fifth place, four strokes behind the leader.
Erika Hara, who secured her first victory on the Epson Tour in Oregon exactly one year ago, is also in contention. Hara noted her positive impression of the course and the ability to control her distances. She expressed that her current form aligns well with the timing of this tournament as she continues her pursuit of success on the American circuit.
