Japanese Governors Ishida Takato and Fukuda Tomikazu Hold Youth Workshops in Fukui and Tochigi

On July 29, Fukui Governor Ishida Takato convened a workshop with 16 young residents to discuss local inconveniences, manufacturing labor shortages and ideas such as all‑weather playgrounds, aiming to feed the dialogue into the prefecture’s policy‑making process.

The same day in Tochigi, Governor Fukuda Tomikazu met about 30 middle‑ and high‑school students at Star Forest School, focusing on the prefecture’s light‑rail transit (LRT) project and soliciting the students’ expectations for its future role. Both events are part of broader “Youth Dynamism” initiatives intended to integrate younger voices into regional planning.
