Japanese Horses Target Queen Stakes and Korean Sprint G3 Races

The Hokkaido Shimbun Cup Queen Stakes, a key autumn race for fillies, will feature three leading contenders: Erika Express, Coconut Brown and Koganeno Sora. All three have strong recent form and are expected to benefit from the 1800‑metre turf at Sapporo, with jockey Yuichi Fukunaga riding Erika Express.

Korea Racing announced the provisional entry list for the Korea Sprint G3, scheduled for September 6 at Seoul Racecourse. Forty horses are listed, including 23 Japanese‑trained runners such as Teo Elvis—winner of the US Grade 1 Churchill Downs Stakes—and Puuro Magic, a four‑year‑old mare with four domestic stakes wins. The race offers a total purse of 1.4 billion won, with the winner receiving 700 million won.
