Japanese hotels announce Christmas 2026 stay plans

Major Japanese hotels have announced specialized accommodation packages for the 2026 Christmas season.

Hotel Metropolitan in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, is offering a stay plan that includes a themed Christmas cake featuring Suica Penguin designs. Guests can choose from various cake styles, including chocolate mousse with raspberry brioche or Earl Grey mousse with caramel cream. The plan includes breakfast buffets and is available for stays from December 1 to December 26, 2026.

In Kyoto, the Rihga Royal Hotel Kyoto is launching several holiday options. These include a surprise plan where Santa Claus visits guest rooms to deliver presents and take photos, a cake-inclusive plan featuring seasonal desserts like reindeer tarts and strawberry shortcakes, and a cocktail-focused plan at Bar Granada. Reservations for these packages are scheduled to begin in October 2026.
