Japanese idol franchises launch major live performance events

Major Japanese idol franchises have launched significant live performance events. The “The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls” concept xR live, titled “Pop’n ToyBox!!”, was held from August 13 to 16, 2026. The event featured 19 idols ranging in age from 9 to 31, performing at Shibuya LOVEZ and via the ASOBI STAGE streaming platform. The production utilized xR technology to bring characters to life with precise movements and relationships that mirrored their established lore. The live was divided into themed sessions, including daytime performances focused on younger idols and evening shows featuring adult idols.

Simultaneously, the “IDOLiSH7 VISIBLIVE TOUR ‘4WARD JOURNEY’” commenced on August 21, 2026, at Makuhari Messe. The tour features 16 performers from four groups: IDOLiSH7, TRIGGER, Re:vale, and ŹOOĻ. The opening performance at Makuhari Messe included high-energy sets and dramatic stage productions, such as Re:vale’s opening and TRIGGER’s cinematic presentation. The tour is scheduled to continue through late August in Osaka and September in Fukuoka.
